Purpose:
As our advocacy efforts continue, it is important that wecreate new and dynamic opportunities to engage legislators on the relevantissues related to home care. Of particular importance is creating theseopportunities in legislative districts for legislators to dialogue with thefull spectrum of home care stakeholders and constituents.
With that in mind, Hearts for Home Care is sponsoring aninitiative to create such an opportunity—a series of targeted, community roundtable discussions in legislative home districts.
The Details
What: Pennsylvania home care community stakeholder roundtable events touching all regions of Pennsylvania
Participants: Home care clients, home care fieldemployees, home care office employees, district legislators and regionallegislators
Topics of Discussion: Importance of home care; valuehome care provides to the community, challenges of receiving and providing homecare; forecasting the future
Why: Home care in becoming increasingly important inPennsylvania and many legislators and individuals impacted by home care don’tsee the direct connection between the home care industry and the stategovernment. These events will help bring attention to the home care communitywhile showcasing the needs for greater attention and consideration within thestate legislature.
