The State of New Jersey is increasing minimum wage through 2025 and funding for home care reimbursements must keep pace to ensure NJ seniors can remain safely and independently at home with personal care services.
Home care serves many benefits for the seniors of New Jersey; it provides cost-effective care in the setting where people prefer to stay – their home.
Without Medicaid funding increases, home care providers will struggle to meet the needs of NJ’s most vulnerable residents. Increasing reimbursements for home health care will preserve caregiver jobs, deliver cost-effective care, and, most importantly, protect access to needed services for the elderly and disabled of New Jersey.
