No one knows better than you and your family how much it means to have quality home health care services you can rely on. And it has been our mission to provide that high level of care, keeping people like you safe at home with comfort, independence, and dignity.
But the very system that is designed to protect families like yours is broken. It recognizes the value of home care, yet it doesn’t adequately fund it so that you’ll never have to worry about being without it. We never want to tell you we can’t afford to provide your loved one’s care, but some decisions are beyond our control.
One of the best ways we can do that is to help ensure that the laws and policies that affect home health care services are fair and support the issues we all care about. That is why we are so passionate about our Hearts for Home Care advocacy program. It gives all of us a platform for letting our voices be heard at the state capitols and in Washington.
Become a Heart for Home Care and be heard
We all have the power to influence decision making. Let’s tell our state and federal government officials that quality home health care is a cost-effective solution that keeps people safe at home—where they want to be. Here are some ways you can get involved:
- Send e-mails and letters to government officials
- Respond to action alerts
- Share stories with public officials that show the value of work we do
- Share Hearts for Home Care social media posts with your friends
- Meet with your local government officials in person (...it's easier than you might think!)
